Planning an interlocked cleanroom passage

Door positions, control signals and the operating sequence to consider when planning connected access.

When a passage connects controlled areas, the door sequence is part of the process design. KENVO offers control arrangements for interlocked access, air showers and cargo showers.

Begin with the sequence

Map the normal movement of people or materials through the passage. Identify when each door should open, when it should remain closed and how the process moves to the next step.

Coordinate the interfaces

The application range includes door-position feedback and interlock programs. For an air shower or cargo shower, coordinate these functions with the main equipment controller and the available mounting space.

Keep the project details together

A useful enquiry includes the number of doors, opening dimensions, movement direction, activation method and equipment interfaces. The emergency operating sequence should also be addressed during project coordination.
